Tog value is a scientific numerical unit that measures the warmth provided by a duvet. Higher the tog value, warmer the duvet. While buying a natural duvet, its tog value is very essential. For those who live in cold areas where night temperatures are very low, natural duvets with higher tog value must be preferred. High tog value duvets are heavier and contain more feathers that results in more warmth.  However people don't find heavy duvets too comfortable which are why they look for options that provide the similar level of warmth but are lighter in weight.

Down duvets- the softer and lighter options

Lighter and softer duvets contain more down and very less feathers. They are also more expensive. Hungarian goose down duvets and duck down duvets are the premium natural duvets available in the market today.

These down duvets contain soft down layers of geese and ducks respectively which provide the requisite warmth needed to fight cold temperatures but don't feel too heavy on the body.
